Oddny will perform at Bergenfest, Friday 13th of june 2025!
Oddny made a name for themselves in 2023 with the song Oktober, Bergen by, which was on the national NRK P1 A-list for 20 weeks. In 2024, they won the Luttprisen award in the category "Newcomer of the Year." The band has gained particular attention for their distinctive lyrics in dialect and for being a unique live act with a one-of-a-kind stage presence.
Their music combines the subtle wit of the West Coast with elements of folk, rock, and honey-sweet pop. They sing about themes that many can relate to, and their music appeals to a wide range of listeners and audiences. In 2024, the band played a series of sold-out concerts, including in Oslo, Stavanger, and Bergen, and they’ve already been booked for several industry festivals in 2024 and 2025. Oddny is being hailed as a West Norwegian rarity with the potential to achieve great things.
On Friday, June 13, 2025, Oddny will perform at Bergenfest – a golden opportunity to experience this critically acclaimed band live at one of Norway’s most iconic music festivals.
The band is based at "Gamlehuset på Håjen" in the village of Bremanger, where they often live, create music, write, and record. More and more of Oddny’s music is being produced in-house at Gamlehuset, with drummer and budding producer Oliver Igland at the helm. They release their music through their own label, HotWater, in association with MATE Distribution.
