Now, nearly five years after the loss of Marie Fredriksson, Per Gessle is bringing Roxette’s timeless hits back on tour, joined by Swedish megastar Lena Philipsson. More than a band, The The is an artistic collective, born from Johnson's tape experiments in his family’s Essex pub. With a career spanning over four decades, the groundbreaking Soul Mining set the tone for their eclectic sound, blending electronic and traditional elements. Albums like Infected and Mind Bomb further pushed boundaries, featuring collaborators like Johnny Marr, Sinead O’Connor, and Neneh Cherry.
After a 2018 comeback, The The is back on the road. At Bergenfest, expect both new material and classics like This Is The Day and Uncertain Smile, promising an unforgettable night.
